This strategic enhancement ensures that La Télé continues to deliver timely political, economic, societal, sports, and cultural news.
As a long-standing GB Labs customer, La Télé had relied on its previous GB Labs NAS solution for high-performance, reliable media storage. However, escalating production complexities and the demands of live broadcasting made it clear that a refresh was overdue.
At the heart of the new infrastructure lies a GB Labs FastNAS F16 NitroMAX server, boasting 160 TB of ultra-fast shared storage. IMC’s Media Asset Management system (Incite) orchestrates all file workflows – ranging from external SDI and live ingest to memory-card transfers, media management, and transcoding – directly onto the FastNAS.
This new system offers La Télé:
High-Speed Editing: 25 Non-Linear Editing (NLE) suites connect over 10 GbE and 25 GbE to the FastNAS, editing natively in MXF XDCAM 50 Mbps. Editors leverage both Adobe Premiere Pro and the Incite Media Producer interface to work in parallel on shared footage without conflict or delay.
Efficient Nearline Archiving: GB Labs’ ECHO 16 nearline system automatically archives daily content, ensuring that even older footage remains immediately accessible.
Integrated Newsroom Preview: La Télé’s Octopus news production system taps into Incite’ high-resolution files and proxy previews. Journalists can browse, review, and approve content directly from the newsroom interface—dramatically streamlining story turnaround.
